God’s Perfect Resume for Kingdom Workers

Matthew 9:36-38 - Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.'

Read that passage again. Jesus looked at the masses of broken humanity and didn’t say, “Find me the perfect candidates.” He said, “The harvest is ready. We need workers. Now.”

So what does the job posting look like? What kind of resume is God actually looking for?

Brother, the answer will shock you.

That’s right. God isn’t scanning LinkedIn for impressive credentials. He’s not looking for men with spotless track records. He’s looking for men who have been broken, rebuilt, and transformed by His power.

SEE THE PATTERN?

God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

He takes broken men, rebuilds them through the fire of trial and testing, and then deploys them for Kingdom work. Why? Because broken men understand something that the self-sufficient never will:

Apart from Christ, you can do nothing.

John 15:5 — I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.

A truly broken man gets this at a level the comfortable never will. He’s been to the bottom. He knows his own weakness. He’s learned that his strength, his intelligence, his willpower, none of it is enough. And in that place of total surrender, God can finally use him.

THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY

Here’s what you need to understand: Satan knows your past. And he will use it against you every single day.

While God will never define you by your past, the enemy will constantly remind you of it. He’ll whisper:

  • “You’re not good enough.”
  • “God could never use someone like you.”
  • “You’re defined by what you did.”
  • “You’ll never overcome that.”

These are lies.

Satan plants thoughts in your mind until you believe they’re your own. He wants you focused on your past because he knows that if you keep looking in the rearview mirror, you’ll never see where God is taking you.

But here’s the truth: Your past has been cast as far as the east is from the west. It was dealt with at Calvary. Yes, you’ll still make mistakes. But when you do, you confess them, learn from them, and move forward. You don’t set up camp there.

THE POWER OF SURRENDER

A man who has learned complete surrender to God is a weapon of mass destruction in the Kingdom. Why? Because he’s no longer fighting in his own strength. He’s learned that apart from God, he’s nothing. And in that place of total dependence, God’s power flows through him unhindered.

When you put on the full armor of God and operate from a place of surrender, the enemy’s fiery darts have no effect. You become bulletproof. Not because of your own strength, but because you’ve learned to fight in God’s.

This is what God is looking for. Not perfection. Not a spotless record. He’s looking for men who have been through the fire, who have been broken and rebuilt, who understand their complete dependence on Him.

YOUR APPLICATION

So here’s the question: Are you ready to apply?

Maybe you’re thinking, “But you don’t know what I’ve done.” You’re right. I don’t. But God does. And He’s still calling you.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. That power is greater than your past. Greater than your failures. Greater than every mistake you’ve ever made.

You are worthy of life. You are worthy of God’s love. You are worthy of joy. You are worthy of a purpose that will take you places you never imagined.

The harvest fields are ready. The position is open. And God is looking for broken men who are willing to be rebuilt, trained, and deployed.

THE FINAL WORD

Jesus doesn’t call the equipped. He equips the called.

Brother, your resume of brokenness is exactly what God is looking for. Submit your application today. Surrender completely. Let the Holy Spirit train you. Let Jesus lead you. And watch as the Father uses your story to set other men free.

The harvest is plentiful. The workers are few. And God is hiring broken men who are ready to be made whole and sent into the fields.

Now, lets you and I get to work!
