The Staircase Before You
YOU’RE DREAMING INSTEAD OF DOING
You’ve seen it in other men. Something about their character. Their confidence. The way they carry themselves. You notice it and you want it.
Maybe you dream about a particular job. A certain income. A specific lifestyle. You can see it in your mind. You play it over and over. All the accomplishments spinning around in your head.
But here’s the problem:
You imagine reaching your goals, then feel discouraged by the overwhelming steps between here and there.
So you keep dreaming. Keep planning. Keep imagining. But you don’t climb.
THE STAIRCASE
Imagine a grand staircase. Each step represents a goal, a challenge, a lesson you need to learn.
This staircase is your life’s journey. Each step is essential. But here’s what happens: you can only see the first few steps. The higher you go, the more obscured the view becomes. You cannot see the entire staircase.
And that’s perfectly okay.
When you stand at the base looking up, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The top seems distant. The steps feel daunting. You wonder if you’re equipped to ascend. If you have the strength to continue when the path gets steep.
This is where most men quit before they even start.
THE POWER OF FAITH
Hebrews 11:1 — Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Every journey begins with a single step. And that step is taken in faith.
Faith is what moves your foot forward when you can’t see the entire journey. Faith gives you courage to continue climbing when the path gets difficult. Faith sustains you when the view is obscured and you can’t see how much further you have to go.
Faith isn’t blind optimism. It’s confident trust in God’s plan and provision.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP
The first step is always the hardest.
It requires you to move from dreaming to doing. From planning to acting. From hoping to stepping out in faith.
Most men never take that first step. They stand at the base of their staircase imagining what life would be like at the top, but they never actually begin the climb.
Fear holds them back. Doubt paralyzes them. The overwhelming nature of the entire journey keeps them frozen.
Don’t be that man.
Here’s the truth: You don’t need to see the entire staircase to take the first step. You don’t need to know how every challenge will be overcome. You don’t need all the answers before you begin.
You just need faith to take the first step.
THE CLIMB
Once you take that first step, something powerful happens.
The second step becomes visible. Then the third. One step leads to another. Before you know it, you’re climbing.
Will the path be difficult? Yes.
Will there be moments when you’re tired, when you want to quit, when the top seems impossibly far away? Absolutely.
But every step forward is progress. Every challenge overcome is a lesson learned. Every obstacle conquered makes you stronger.
The staircase is not just about reaching the top. It’s about who you become in the climb.
The man who reaches the summit is not the same man who started at the base. The journey transforms you.
YOU’RE NOT CLIMBING ALONE
Here’s what you need to understand: God is with you every step of the way.
He designed the staircase. He knows every challenge you’ll face. He has equipped you with everything you need.
Your job: Take the steps in faith.
His job: Provide the strength, wisdom, and resources you need along the way.
Sometimes He’ll clear the path ahead. Sometimes He’ll give you endurance to push through obstacles. Always, He’ll be there.
God doesn’t call you to see the entire staircase. He calls you to take the next step in faith.
YOUR STAIRCASE AWAITS
You have a staircase before you.
Goals to achieve. Dreams to pursue. A man to become.
The staircase is waiting.
Don’t let the overwhelming nature of the entire journey keep you from taking the first step. Don’t let fear of the unknown paralyze you. Don’t wait until you can see the whole path before you begin.
Take the first step in faith.
Then take the next one. And the next.
Yes, you’ll get tired. Yes, it will be hard. Yes, you’ll wonder if you can make it.
But keep climbing.
Because the man at the summit is worth the climb. The transformation that happens on the journey is worth every difficult step.
The summit awaits. But you’ll never reach it standing at the base, dreaming about what could be.
Stop staring. Start climbing.
